BSNL woes !!

From past 1 week the BSNL ( yes Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited ) internet connection has made me loose enough temper with regard to the quality of connection and the customer service it has provided to me.

Check out the snippets.

Day X:

CSR: Sir your name  ? 
SK : Shivakumar

CSR: Sir your phone number ? 
SK: xxxxxxxx
CSR: Sorry ? 
SK : xxxxxxx

CSR: Where are you calling from ? 
SK: Rajajinagar
CSR: Sorry ? 
SK: R A J A J I N A G A R !!
CSR: ok

CSR: Your model number ? 
SK: WA1003A
CSR: Sorry ? 
SK: W A 1 0 0 3 A
CSR: ok

CSR: is the ADSL light blinking ? 
SK: NO its off.

CSR: What is the color of the ADSL light ? 
SK: WT*!!! when its not glowing how can i tell colour.

CSR: Sir logon to the modem url and check the ping status
SK: ok - no respone

CSR: Sir be online for a moment

CSR: Sir there is a maintenance going on in Rajajinagar so the net connection will be down and will be sorted out by midnight today.
SK: Then why was all the checks necessary  ?
CSR: <silent>

Some other CSR: Sir there is an issue with Rajajinagar exchange and it will be sorted out today midnight.
SK: But yesterday i was told that its a cable issue and it will be ready today  ? and today you are telling exchange issue ? 
Some other CSR: Cable issue is sorted out and this exchange issue will also be sorted out today midnight.
SK: F I NE !

Female CSR: How long is this issue from ?
SK: 1 Week !! 

Female CSR: Sir have you lodged a complaint ? 
SK: NO - but for what Joy  ? i was told its a problem at exchange and cables
Female CSR: Yes sir, but even then you could have lodged a complaint - as you had called.
SK: What you want me to do now ?
Female CSR: Sir i will book a complaint and give you a reference number.

10 min wait !

Female CSR: "Sorry to keep you on the waiting"
SK: Its fine
Female CSR: Your complaint number is xxxx and your issue will be sorted out within 24hrs
SK: You want me to wait for one more day  ?
Female CSR: Yes sir we take 24hrs to check for any complaint lodged. But this time it will be sorted out as you have given a complaint.
SK: WT*

 Outcome of the screenplay : The net connection is still lousy and keeps going on and off ( still not able to make out the color of ADLS LED when its off ! ).

LOL. Been there done that.All u can do is to wait for ur lucky day/lucky moment.

Had similar experiences twice in the past.

Escalated the complaint to the DyGM level before I got results (and an apology). But obviously the systems have not changed!

Try Dy GM (New Services) 22867122 (secretary who will follow up on your complaint). I think 2286 3322 is his direct number.2286 8989 (fax) In case they tell you that they are not the concerned dept, ask for names and numbers of concerned department. Helps if you have taken a complaint number at 1800 424 1600 when you lodged your complaint. Other numbers DGM (Broadband) 22867122, Fax (22869119). Best of LUck :-)

Our server in BTM was down for 36 hours, just came back. Planning to call the Dy GM tomorrow.
